Stoker, Luther Burton, and John McPherson. The photograph was taken in front of the DeWitt County Courthouse, Clinton, Illinois. Though the photograph is undated, another Civil War veteran photograph was taken in the same location during a 1912 veterans reunion, making it probable that this photograph was taken at the same event.

This mill was built by John Morrison ca. 1844, near Kenney, Illinois. The area around the mill became a pleasure ground known as Pastime Park. This area included six or seven cabins and a pavilion. The mill and pavilion fell into disuse and were torn down in 1920. This photograph was on a post card. ca. 1890
